Hey all you free agents…I wanted to share some amazing workspaces in LA that you may not have heard of.  Check it out!

1. The CoLoft
920 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90401
Mon-Fri 8:30a-6p, 24/7 for Full-time members
www.coloft.com

From blackboards to white walls to modern fixtures and old fashioned friendliness, The CoLoft is blocks from the beach (for when you need a stretching break) but close enough to local coffee spots to keep your head off the keyboard (or caffeinate from their kitchenette). Multiple pricing platforms make this easy on the wallet for the day ($35.00) or the year ($495.00.) With full AV capabilities, meeting space, community tables or solo spots you can socialize or retreat, all under one roof.

2. The Writers Junction
1001 Colorado Ave., Santa Monica, CA 90401
Weekdays 6p-9a, all day/night on weekends, 24/7 for Full-time members
www.writersjunction.com

What do you call a place where everyone has a witty, contagious sense of humor, an abiding affection for Jon Stewart, multiple book titles under their belt and regular blogging privileges on Huff Post? Yup, it’s The Writers Junction. Cruise into this pen den and get busy writing your future best seller, or grab one of several meeting spaces and workshop a TV treatment with your partner. TWJ has memberships starting at just $99.00 buckaroos. This is the kind of place you could meet your future husband…can’t you picture it? “I knew by the way he typed that he was the one.” This place is cooler than it is hot – as in, it’s not trendy and it ain’t going anywhere (hopefully you were able to attend our “Changing The World Is My Business” event earlier in May and had a chance to check out the space!)

3. The Writers Room
5372 W. Pico Blvd., L.A., CA 90019
www.writersroomla.com

Mon-Fri 10am-midnight, Sat and Sun Professional Member Reservations
For those living closer to the Hollywood sign than a 6-foot swell, The Writers Room is more than a space to “get it done”, as they say on their site. Enjoy a speaker series and reference library among the east side lit pack. No kitchenette but you’re welcome to bring your Joe, a laptop and good vibes; this cozy outpost is for optimists only. Membership is flexible – easy in, easy out – and starts at $65.00 for a week-long pass.

SMARTY Members get great discounts at all three–so make sure to mention us when you sign up for Membership.
